Cleygaerd

General

  • Cleygaerd assumes that the participant or hirer has read these Terms & Conditions carefully.
  • Payment of the invoice or written confirmation creates a binding agreement with Cleygaerd.
  • Cleygaerd works in line with the GDPR and handles privacy-sensitive information with care. Photographs are only taken or shared with consent.

Payment

  • For the High Tea activity: the reservation is confirmed upon receipt of the deposit (€10 per person).
  • For hire of the Boshuis/Tuinkamer, the reservation becomes final on a 50% deposit of the hire amount. The balance and security deposit (€150) must be paid no later than 7 days before the hire period.
  • The deposit is refunded within 5 working days after the hire period, provided the space has been used correctly.
  • Invoices are sent by email with all payment details and terms.

Risk and liability

  • Participation in activities and use of the spaces is at the guest's own risk.
  • Cleygaerd is not liable for accidents, damage or loss of belongings, unless caused by gross negligence or intent on the part of Cleygaerd.
  • Medical or psychological conditions that may affect participation or use must be disclosed in advance.
  • The hirer / participant is responsible for any damage caused by themselves or their guests.

Cancellation

Cancellation of an activity by email:

  • 100% refund up to 4 weeks before the start
  • 75% up to 3 weeks before the start
  • 50% up to 2 weeks before the start
  • 25% up to 1 week before the start
  • 0% in the final week or in case of no-show

Cleygaerd may cancel activities or hire in the event of force majeure or unsafe conditions. An alternative date will be offered in consultation.

Use of the Boshuis and Tuinkamer

  • The spaces are intended for small-scale activities or gatherings approved by Cleygaerd.
  • The hirer / participant must use the spaces and inventory with care and leave them in their original condition.
  • Smoking, open flames and candles indoors are not permitted. Amplified music outdoors is prohibited.
  • Cleygaerd may refuse access or end an activity in the event of unsafe behaviour or breach of the house rules.

Use of the Nature Camping

Reservation & payment

  • The camping booking is confirmed upon receipt of payment through the booking system.
  • Tourist tax (€1.25 p.p.p.n.) and any additional costs (such as the cleaning fee for the retro caravan or use of the equipped kitchen) are charged separately in accordance with the rates on the website.
  • Discounts (early bird, last minute, long stay) apply to the rental price only, not to additional costs.
  • For bookings made through external platforms (such as Airbnb, Campspace or Pitchup), the cancellation conditions of the relevant platform apply.

Season & times

  • The nature camping is open from April through October.
  • Check-in: between 14:00 and 21:00. Check-out: before 11:00.
  • Late check-out without prior arrangement may be charged (€5.00 per person).

House rules

  • The grounds are car-free. Vehicles are parked in the designated car park at the entrance.
  • Quiet hours apply from 22:00 to 08:00. Noise nuisance is not tolerated.
  • Outside quiet hours, amplified music is not permitted on the grounds.
  • Waste must be separated into the containers provided.
  • The maximum number of persons per pitch is as stated in the accommodation description. Exceptions are only possible by prior arrangement.

Fire

  • Open fire is only permitted on pitches 2 and 3, at the fire pit or fire bowl provided.
  • In certain weather conditions a fire ban applies; guests are informed of this on arrival or during their stay.
  • Taking firewood from the grounds is not permitted. Only clean, untreated firewood may be brought along or purchased at the campsite.

Nature & environment

  • Picking plants, flowers or crops is only permitted with the express consent of Cleygaerd.
  • Taking wood, branches or other natural materials from the grounds is not permitted.
  • Guests are kindly asked to treat nature with respect and not to disturb the flora and fauna.

Pets

  • Dogs are welcome on the tent pitches, only by prior arrangement and provided they are kept on a lead on the grounds.
  • Pets are not permitted in the retro caravan.

Retro Caravan

  • Smoking is not permitted in the retro caravan.
  • The caravan must be left clean and tidy on departure. A cleaning fee is charged in accordance with the rates on the website.
  • Inventory (bedding, cookware and the like) is included as stated in the accommodation description. Damage to or loss of inventory will be recovered from the hirer.

Bicycle rental

  • Bicycles are available for camping guests and are recommended to be reserved in advance.
  • The hirer is responsible for the rented bicycle during the rental period. Damage or theft will be recovered from the hirer.

Sanitary & shared facilities

  • The sanitary building and the Tuinkamer are reserved for camping guests only.
  • Guests are kindly asked to leave these shared spaces clean and tidy.

Complaints

  • Any complaints must be raised during the activity or hire period.
  • Complaints raised afterwards will be considered during evaluation but do not entitle the guest to a refund.
